The book and the map
Decoding the Adams Map of History
An era-by-era visual guide to the Adams Synchronological Chart, with a Zoom Map so you can read every tiny word.

How the book and the map work together
- Read. Each chapter of the book covers one panel of the chart. Start at the beginning or jump to the period you are studying.
- Look. Open the Zoom Map on a tablet or computer. Every panel has six numbered spots that match the “Where to look” sections in the book.
- Talk. Finish with the Family Corner at the end of the chapter: questions, an activity and answers.
The ten panels

About 23 feet of history from 4004 B.C. to 1881, cut into the ten panels used in the book.
